I got an email from Sitka asking for a review and they would give me 15% off my order. I made the review and they never gave me the 15% off. Customer Service wont respond. So here I am leaving an updated review. Sitka customer service is trash. These shoes are over priced junk. The cushion is good. But they are way too narrow even going up a size. Instant blisters. Tread is good if you are walking on carpet. But in the real world outside, its trash. Its not going to hold up and doesn't do well on wet surfaces. Has potential but falls well short of being worth the price. Just like Sitkas trash customer service. Save yourself the money. Sitka has become an over priced fashion company. They care more about the looks then any real world applications.

Has Potential But Needs Work

The cushioning is spot on. Not too much and not so little. The midsolendoes need time to break in. So it will feel like walking on concrete for a few days. Speaking of concrete. Not sure how well the midsole will hold up using this as a work shoe, which I want to do. Thats the good. The bad.....the outsole really needs to be Vibram. Sitka's brand is "okay". But for superior grip and peace of mind, I would go with Vibram. It also is very narrow. Seems to be par for the course in 99% of shoes these days. Companies trying to pinch every penny they can at the expense of the customer. They dont offer them in wide which is insane in this day in age. Not sure if sizing up would help as the shoe also cuts inwards at the base of pinky toe very sharply and causes almost instant blisters. I think sizing up would still cause that same issue. Theres no fix for that. So I have a $150 pair of paper weights I cant do much with. Can't return them as one needs to test them outside for a full review. They did feel good to walk in as far as being light weight, having a bounce in the step, being mobile/agile. But the narrow essential and instant blisters from the pinky toe are a no go.

Very comfortable with stable sole. Use them for hiking, hunting, time outside. Ordered a pair of the Gore-Tex. Taking a while for them to be delivered.

My son wears these for everything. Bow hunting, work, gym class. Says the are water resistant and lightweight.

I'm mixed on these as of right now. They are pretty comfortable. But very slippery on wet metal surfaces. The tred is already starting to wear off. I do t think I'd ever purchase them again.

Great shoe, just a tad long

Measured my foot and got the correct size according to the size chart but the shoe is still just a bit too long. Other than that it’s an amazing shoe and I still wear them hunting.

Nice Shoe, Poor Fit for Me

I put on the shoe and and didn’t immediately discomfort but after wearing for ~10 min in the house found that the upper sides by where the laces go through was too high and dug into my ankle. I could tell that I’d have sore spots/blisters if I kept wearing them so ended up returning unfortunately.

Still don’t have time to go off road hiking, I have Hoka Speedgoat and Altra Olympus, it’s comparable. Go to REI compare with Salomon Ultra 5. Well, the traction of Ascent win. A few better design and applications on this shoe. May develop another version for Zero drop or carbon shank next.

I just got these shoes and after a just a couple walks they feel great, very comfortable and fit well. I like the larger toe box and they feel like they lock the heel in very well. Good cushion on the sides, nice wide base, with great traction. I will be taking them on the trails this weekend.

Great Tactical Shoe

These sneakers fit great. The tread on the shoes offer excellent gripping ability and versatility. I found these sneakers to run true to size. I have received many compliments on them and find them an excellent value for the money.
