Sad to say I’m disappointed…

Let me begin with the fact that I own two other Sitka core lightweight shirts and one is also a hoodie but in Subalpine camo. I wore this new core lightweight hoodie (green) to the rifle range where it automatically pulled in two different spots and I wasn’t even moving thru brush. I then wore it in a 2 day high alpine bear hunt in WA state… it pulled in so many spots I can’t even count them all. I love the feel of these shirts, the weight and how quickly they dry but with the pulling of the threads, the new shirt isn’t wearable other than as a base layer and looks worn out and tattered already. I’m not sure what Sitka did with the material or the thread count/etc but I hope they can make changes for the better on the core lightweight hoodie.

Core lightweight is great for hot weather Use it when hiking or just around town Keeps you cool and dry. Have 4 of them Needed to up 1 size. I like a looser fit

Poor quality

This hoody isn't built to last. I wore it one time in a ground blind and got a bunch of snaggs when I rubbed against some velcro. Not really what I expect out of a top tier hunting apparel company. This is more of a casual shirt meant to be worn around round smooth objects.

Favorite hunting shirt!

Getting camo paint off your face is a pain. Neck gaiters can be an extra layer of heat in the early season and this hoodie lets you avoid both. I run them to hike and keep the sun off of me in the AZ summer heat during hunt prep too. Phenomenal performance in all environments. This with the right mid layer and shell will keep you comfortable on the later hunts too. I highly recommend them.

Awesome Hoodie!

I bought this to be a standalone outwear piece in the early season when it's hot. This has the facemask and the hood all built into a really lightweight piece which is nice for the early season. But will also be a great next to skin piece for the mid and late season as I start building layers on top of it. 5' 11" tall and 200 pounds. Ordered a large and it fits well.

Fantastic Lightweight Hoodie

This Hoodie is a fantastic for the warm weather. Great for those warm weather archery deer hunts or early September elk hunts! The hood works really good for keeping bugs and sun away! The wicking abilities are really good and allows you to wear these for several days before a wash!

Perfect for summer scouting

Just spent a week scouting for elk in July temperatures. Perfect for sun protection and bug prevention. Hood and face guard reduced distractions from mosquitoes. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite pieces in my gear bag. I ended up buying 3 because I wore this so often. Awesome for warm weather and to keep the sun off, a breathable layer of concealment without added bulk.

Core Lightweight Hoody - crucial early season piece of gear

The Core Lightweight Hoody is a key piece of gear for me during early season hunts. It's lightweight and moisture wicking, so it will help keep you cool on warm hunts. The long sleeves and hoody will help keep the mosquitos away. This will also help keep you camouflaged from Elk, Deer, and Ducks. It's been a pretty durable piece of gear for me as I've used a couple for at least 3 years now during big game and duck seasons. I recommend the Core Lightweight Hoody to all my friends.

Lightweight and durable

I run pretty warm and this offers great coverage and lots of breath ability. The material holds up as it gets caught on things when I traverse the brush. I like the sewn in mask feature in the hood in the event I need it. Nice touch.

Must have in your kit.

This is a must have for any hunt, its ultra light dries stupid fast and fits awesome. I love the hood and chest pocket along with long t-zip which allows me to dump heat on tuff hikes etc. Also the face mask is pretty great when calling in turkey’s or stalking a archery mule deer.

Core lightweight hoodie should be every hunters first article of clothing. Your face mask is always with you. Wish it came in white or snow camo for winter water fowling and fishing.

This Hoodie Rocks

My hunting starts in August when temps can be well over 100 degrees. This top is very comfortable and helps keep me as cool as possible. Then it is off to the Mountains in September to hunt Elk. For me and the way my body adjust to Hot and cold. I will not switch Tops until late October. #Sitka4Life

In Tennessee this is the perfect garment for most of the year. Perfect weight for cool mornings and evenings during bow season and through turkey season. Ive purchased a few of these and they are also great for layering during the winter. The odor resistance of the fabric also makes it great for weekend camping trips.

Definitely lightweight. Great for warm days with a lot of hiking. I don't get overheated as long as I'm wearing a wicking t-shirt underneath. Not good for chilly days of sitting though. Be sure to add a layer if that's part of the plan.
