Great jacket

This is the most light

This is the most light weight rain jacket I have ever owned. Since we are in a severe drought I have not had a chance to try it out. It looks great and is very high quality. Suitable to wear as a nice jacket for church or office as well to keep the rain out. I ordered mine too small but Sitka traded it for a larger size very easily. Took about a week to turn it around and at no charge to me!

This jacket is so light that you forget it’s there. I’ve only worn it in a light rain and stayed totally dry. I can’t wait to try in a downpour ! I not wish it was slightly larger so I could layer more underneath.

This jacket is an ultralight

This jacket is an ultralight insurance option for unexpected rain. Stuff it in your pack and you can forget about it because it's so light. It's not a super loose jacket, so you could fit a base-layer and an active insulation type mid-layer under this. You couldn't fit a puffy jacket under it.

Great jacket

Recently bought the jacket to go in my pack for a September elk hunt that was rainy and 75-80 degrees days. Jacket kept me dry was not to loud and was light weight to fit in the pack. Will be using on the offshore boat in the spring and summer for rainy trips out and in offshore.

A lightweight rain jacket that actually keeps you dry. This piece performs exactly as I had hoped.

Works good and light

Basically made out of tent material. Good rain gear fits over a hoodie or jacket just fine

Top UL jacket

Super lightweight and totally waterproof. Essential features like pockets and cuffs are well designed. Runs a bit small, especially under the arm pits, should have gone a size larger to accommodate layers.

Super packable

Lightweight and super packable, the pants for in the jacket pocket pouch as well. Wish they offered true tall sized 36” inseam at least.

Super Light!

Fit is great on this one, enough for some layering but not overly baggy. I'm 6' 208 and Large fits perfect. As others have said, it really keeps you dry and is so light you can always bring it with you. If I'm not brush-busting this is my jam!

Best light weight rain jacket I've found. I've even wore it in Alaska and stayed dry the entire time! Great jacket!

Back again. Second trip to Alaska salmon and halibut fishing. Would never have caught this PB king if this rain gear didn’t work. It kept me out in the rain just long enough to catch my best salmon. Most would have went back to camp.

Truly light weight but DOES NOT LEAK! First light weight rain jacket I have ever owned that doesn’t leak in moderate down pours! Its cut is slightly slim. Order one size up if you have big arms or big belly or want to wear a heavy underlayer.

Amazing Waterproof Rain Jacket

This was my first Sitka purchase. On a recent trip to Montana to do some summer fly fishing, I was looking for a breathable, lightweight waterproof rain jacket and this jacket hit the mark. On a rain soaked float down the Bitteroot, I was bone dry at the end of it! I bought this same jacket for my girlfriend and I’ll be buying more Sitka gear in the future !

Held up the Kungsleden’s wind and rain.

I bought this super lightweight rain jacket to take on a backpacking trip on Sweden’s legendary Kungsleden trail and I’m glad I did. The jacket along with the Dew Point pants kept me completely dry during a day of hiking in pouring rain and 30 to 40 mph winds. I was amazed when I got to the hut and took my rain gear off and was completely dry underneath. It does what it is supposed to even in the harshest conditions. It’s more than worth the few ounces of extra weight in my backpack.

Truly excellent rain jacket!

As a professional fly fishing guide, I am extremely impressed with this rain jacket. I regularly hike clients into remote places, making every inch of space and ounce of weight critical. I'm planning on ordering more so I can easily pack in quality gear for clients during the summer monsoon season.

Was skeptical how dry it would be when I opened it up because of how incredibly light it was and then I tried it out in the rain and I was shocked! It kept me 100% dry. 5 stars

Love everything but the cuffs

This jacket is nearly perfect for its intended use. Lightweight, rain proof, exterior fabric seems very hardy for as light as it is. Fit is great. Love the hood design and fit. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 is the cuffs. I understand what Sitka was doing cutting weight by not having adjustable hoop and loop closure, but the cuffs are pretty tight. Not so tight that they would be uncomfortable, but tight enough that they are inconvenient to slide over your hands to remove the jacket. The cuff material does stretch, but with effort. I also worry about how well the cuffs will hold up to wear and tear as the stretchy part on the inner wrist is a mesh fabric. Other than that minor annoyance the jacket is fantastic.
