Very nice piece, runs true to size in body however I feel the arms seem to be a bit long in comparison to other size large items.

Good fit, comfortable, well-designed

Very thin material so should be great in warmer weather hunts. Covers a lot of the hands nicely, if thumbs put through the holes, but comfortable if not. Face mask and hood comfortable and covers all but eyes when up. Haven't hunted in it, but impressed with fit and comfort.

Amazing Hoodie

I got this hoodie as a top layer and I love it. It does run big I should have bought a large instead of an XL but none the less, still a quality item. I'm excited about the new pattern that just came out and looking forward to trying it out this winter.

Great product but seems to run big

This is a great product. I tend to run warm and this shirt breathes exceptionally well. I recently used during a September elk hunt with temperatures in the 70's and 80's - it was comfortable even while wearing the hood and face mask. My only issue is that it seems to run big. I have several other XL Sitka shirts, but this one feel very baggy.

Exactly What I Needed!

I was looking for an early season hoody that I could use in the warmer weather and this was perfect! I used it for the first time this weekend and it did not disappoint. I had 4 deer walk right in to me and never knew I was there. Highly recommend this piece.

This stuff works great. Super breathable when walking in and out of the stand during warm conditions, and the insect repellent keeps every mosquito off of you.

Comfortable and well designed

Perfect for every day use or for out in the field. Wore it for a Wyoming antelope hunt in late September and was great for the cool morning and hot evenings. and the build in mask is great for extra cover or wind protection, but doesn't get in the way when not in use. Recommend XL over L for lengthier people.

Perfect early season top

I wore this too for some early season scouting. It’s as advertised! It’s not hot and it kept the bugs off of me. Highly recommend!!

Wish it had two slash pockets in the front

A great piece of gear for early season. In light, early season clothing "logistics space" is limited, and at a premium. Two more front "hand warmer" type pockets for elk diaphragm calls, etc... would really help.

By far my new favorite top. Hiked all day in it and it never started to smell. Super light and breathable.

Love the product. Fits true to size. Leaves enough room to put thin layers underneath and also great for bugs in early season.

Great product

The Equinox products are the same fit and quality, with no apparent odor or other negative effect of the insecticide treatment. The built in gators in the pants are not even noticeable, but provide an effective physical barrier to ticks climbing up from the ground and grass. A great product!

Equinox guard hoodie optifade

I really love this hoody. It’s absolutely amazing! I did however, enter a small pond and got absolutely destroyed by mosquitoes. I had over 20 bites on me. I applied some feet and it helped. Normally where there isn’t many mosquitoes around, they don’t bother me. I still give this a high rating as it’s super durable. No rips or tears from getting caught on branches.

Keeps most of the bugs away. Material very thin, so doesn’t block bites from ones that land. Thin helps it be cooler though in warm weather - “give and take” I spose. Too stretchy and baggy. The baggy fit doesn’t help stop bites either because it still drapes tight against body on back, shoulders, and tops of arms.

Initial review

Is one of those I should have bought earlier but hesitated because of the price. I worked with bug repellant clothing while in the military and like most people, anything to keep the bugs away makes for a better hunt. I'm real familiar with permethrin and here in Texas I used to pre treat all my clothing, and now I don't have to. The verdict is out on how long it will maintain pest resistance and I'll update my review if needed, but for now it simply works at keeping mosquitos and ticks away during our dove season. I'll be using it during early teal season too. On that note, I would love to see Sitka bring in some other camo patterns offered for early water fowl seasons as we sure have mosquitos in teal season. I do like the hood and mask and its also quite breathable and comfortable.

Product is awesome breathes really well and doesn’t get to hot. I can’t wait to try this on opening day coming Saturday evening in the blind. I wear a lot to go running or shooting.

I love this hoodie, I wore it in 95 degrees hanging tree stands in mosquito infested woods a couple weeks ago, managed to stay somewhat cool but most importantly the mosquitos couldn’t get me.

Good quality

I have not used this in the woods yet but around the house outside it works great! Nice light fabric for later summer and fall heat. I have not had a chance to test durability but don't plan to use it through tough dense cover as it seems a little light for that. Overall pleased with the piece and believe it will fill my need.

2nd hoody! First is in elevated pattern, this one in Subalpine pattern. Lightweight, perfect early season for hot afternoons or cool mornings. Was skeptical about the" insect guard" when I bought my first set. Without any further explanation, my purchase of another set speaks for itself.

Works perfectly for early season, bugs were biting me through my old gear and now I'm not getting touched, with this light weight material it wasn’t hot and I wasn’t getting bit.

Great shirt, keeps the mosquitos at bay.

Wore this for the first time today, hiked about 10 miles in the Virginia Blue Ridge mountains, it was very warm and muggy. Shirt was great, kept me cool, dried fast, and didn’t get a single mosquito bite. Also the size is great, I have a medium and it fits like a medium not like I need 6 pack Abs to wear it. I’m 5’7” about 180.

Better Than Deet

The best. I wore this in Alaska fishing last Spring. Biting flies and mosquitos were everywhere, so the fish were fat! I did not get bit one time and had NO repellent on. All this shirt.

Where we hunt there out millions of mosquitos. After getting these i haven't been bit since. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! They need to start making a youth size. Feel sort of bad for my kids when they are being eatin' alive... :)
