Absolutely best jacket ever for a cold sit. Ohio was getting cold so I got the fanatic set. Best decision I ever made. I was out on a windy day and nothing broke through my layers. Love the design and pockets.

The Warmest Jacket Ever

This jacket is toasty, almost too toasty! When out in the cold, the number one thing you don't want to do is chase the feeling of being warm as if you were in your living room. . . so I strongly suggest that if you're not walking at a snails pace on the way to the blind, stand, or still hunt, get the Fanatic Pack to pack this beast out. If you're rifle hunting, I suggest getting the lefty if you're a righty, and the righty if you're a lefty due to the magnetic chest pocket. When walking/stalking in the ready position, the contents of the pocket will impede your ability to raise your rifle and shoulder it. I see it potentially squeezing the contents of the pocket up and out. Also, expect some stitch popping when pulling the jacket on at first. I strongly suggest the Ambient 100 Jacket to layer underneath and nothing that is of the Stratus Jacket material as it will fight against the inner lining of this jacket like velcro on velcro. The addition of a hood would be wonderful, however with the Ambient 100 Hooded Jacket, it works just fine. Do not size up if you're using Sitka mid layers, as this jacket is designed, as all Sitka Gear is designed, to be layered, so you don't have to account for the size. Only size up if you're not using Sitka mid layers and base layers. Very warm, great features, berber fleece makes it very easy to brush snow off before it melts. I would say for the next design, bring back the nylon loop under the neck above the pocket to loop your bino, range finder, and grunt call lanyard so they do not fall to the ground.

Blackout Fanatic

I have the camo fanatic and love it. Warm, quiet and very comfortable. I can’t wait until next year, I’ll have a blind prepared for the season. The fanatic blackout will be perfect. I may go coyote hunting with the blackout fanatic and use the ol ATN. Thing is super comfortable and warm with the right base layer you do not feel the cold. I have the fanatic camo with the bibs. The jacket for me is a 2XL, the bibs take some room. Very warm combo. If I didn’t have the bibs I’d wear an XL. It is the real deal for cold weather. I would not wear it in on a day that is going to get hammered by snow. Incinerator is perfect for that.

Well, I've had the original fanatic jacket since 2011 I believe and love it !! Have always wanted a solid color one . . It's very warm and like it a lot. . wondering why you did away with that top zipper pocket ?? Disappointed it doe not have it. . . Love that pocket . That being said all in all it's top of the line quality as always. . Now if you guys would make an early season shell style fanatic with the gore windstopper in both jacket and vest in camo and solid I'd buy a few more. . especially if you made it also in solid

Really impressed with the jacket considering the size. Have primarily used it so far in nighttime Coyote hunting. With a base layer and long sleeve under the jacket have been very comfortable into upper 20s, definitely stops the wind

Very warm and completely silent. Also have one in camo. I’m 5 feet 10 inches 210lbs. Large is a little tight in the shoulder area. Great for cold weather now hunting

Fanatic Fit

The fit and cut of the jacket is very nice with plenty of room in the shoulder to draw back on. The only frustration is the lack of a hood for cold weather sits and winding days. I understand that a hood might hinder a harness but a removable one would have made this jacket a 5 stars.

Amazingly warm

Excellent jacket - warm and blocks the wind really well. Fits well with my fanatic hoody and heavy marino wool upper. Hand pockets are great at keeping my hands very warm.

Fanatic Jacket Review

The jacket does great in cold and windy weather. No problems with feeling cold. Fits prettyy well as an outer layer, but I wish the midsection was a little narrower for me. Everyone is going to fit different though. The pocket layout is great and the side zipper is good it just took time to get used to putting it on. The only downside is I wish it was a little more abrasion resistant. I love in Tennessee and there are briars in most areas in the woods. My other Sitka clothes have a similar issue. I still would recommend this jacket.

Perfect fit(6'2" & 220lbs) and very warm with just a few base layers. Looking forward to this week. It will be 5 degrees in PA. I will give the jacket and bibs a trial by fire test on Monday 01/20 MAGA. More to follow. . .

The Sitka Fanatics are the best cold weather gear

The Sitka Fanatic line is by far the quietest and warmest jacket and bibs I’ve ever owned. As a deer hunter from Alabama, I love the minimal layering on the coldest days and the venting on the bibs for the warmest afforded by my Fanatics. You can’t go wrong with them!

Never get cold!!

This thing kept me warm all day out in the snow. Couldn’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be purchasing the bib to go with it!
