Med Fanatic jacket

Bought to up my cold weather gear while sitting in the stand. Have used a couple times, the last was 32 degrees with 20mph wind gusts and I stayed warm. The jacket really cuts the wind. Still testing out the other features of the jacket. I like the kangaroo pouch but could be improved with some added elastic at the openings to create a windproof seal. Still debating if I should've sized up to a large. With layers it is a bit snug.

Fanatic Jacket

This jacket is great for long sit in the stand. It is dead quiet while drawing a bow. If you want to layer with it, go a size up. The only miss on the jacket if you want to be picky is that is does not have a hood. Otherwise, this is the best jacket I have ever hunted in.

Western New York Whitetail

Very warm and durable. Haven’t used it in weather under 40 degrees yet, but have no concerns about it keeping me warm. So comfy in fact, I’ve fallen asleep twice in the stand wearing it. Pricey but definitely a great investment.

Quality built and great fit

Always have trouble ordering online even with the size chart. I’m 6’2” and 200lbs. XL fits perfect. Wish reviews listed the size ordered. I think it would help people order the correct size. Sitka is always great quality. Can’t wait till cold weather here in north GA. Not a fan of the sideways zipper

Amazing coat, was able to just wear a t shirt underneath this coat when it was 36 degrees outside in the Midwest with a north wind, quiet bow hunting coat would recommend

Super Warm Jacket

I just tested this jacket while elk hunting in Wyoming. Great pocket design, quiet while walking in brush, and very warm in 20 degree temps. The wind did not penetrate through it. Love this!

Super comfortable coat, makes it easy to sit in the stand all day when your wearing the best gear.

Best cold weather archery jacket.

This jacket takes my dad and I through January archery season here in central Illinois. The friont hand muff is great so you don't have to carry a separate muff. The Gore Windstopper blocks all the wind and the Berber Fleece is silent. It's slim fitting on your bow arm as to not snag your strings upon release. There are pockets where you need them and surprisingly, is very water repellent. This is a must have jacket hunting during the mid to late season.

FANATIC COAT

Warm, comfortable, and quit. LOVE the built in hand muff. Probably my favorite thing about this coat. Only had to wear 1 layer under it when in the low 40s. I love how these cloths require much less layering than stuff I had in the past.

Warm, silent, fits true to size. I’m 5’ 10” 200 pounds and got a large. Fits perfectly, with room for layers underneath the jacket. 100% windproof. Debates on buying this jacket for 5 years before finally buying, wish I never waited now.

The warmest bow hunting jacket I have ever worn.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED, and then some.

This jacket, partnered with the FANATIC BIBS, is hands down the best cold weather hunting camp I have purchased. It's just enough bulkiness to not be in the way, but still thick enough for the cold mornings up north.

I really like the design.

I really like the design. Late season bow hunting can be hard on the hands. The hand warmer pocket is awesome.

This has been great for cold sits in NJ and Ohio, ranging from 15-30 degrees etc. stacked this with fanatic bibs for even colder sits. Quiet, practical pockets and fit to size (M, 5’6 180). Went well with other Sitka layer systems which were also M in size. Highly recommend

Favorite piece

The research and development that goes i to these pieces amaze me. Caters to the bowhunter in both warmth and functionality with none of the bulk! Highly recommend!

Pros: True to size…allows free arm movement…incredibly warm…pocket access is well thought out…great cuff design to prevent cold air intrusion. Cons: Diagonal zipper takes some getting used to (not a big deal)…collar designed to allow safety harness creates a potential air gap that will need to be closed with a gaiter. Neither con is substantial. I highly recommend this jacket.
