Heavyweight Bottom Reviews

Very Comfortable

Most comfortable base layer pants I’ve ever tried. Very warm and thicker than an UA cold gear I was used to. Must have for my tree stand hunts

They are extremely warm and very comfortable. The fit is great. I will be buying another pair

Sitka gear is expensive but

Sitka gear is expensive but the quality is the best of any outdoor clothing company I have ever worn. My only complaint is with the inseam length for their pants. I wish they had shorter lengths, especially for garments with full length zippers that can’t be altered.

Sitka system worked great on

Sitka system worked great on my Northern WI bobcat hunt! Kept me warm when we were waiting and comfortable when we were walking through the swamp.

Hunted for days in zero

Hunted for days in zero and below in layout blinds, never got cold on the lower parts of my body, I would get over heated when out moving decoys and other physical work.best I have found. Highly recommend, thanks Sitka keep up the great research and development.

Extremely comfortable. Very warm. Utilized

Extremely comfortable. Very warm. Utilized late archery and squirrel in Ohio and best decision this far. Highly recommend as a part of ones layers.

These bottoms are the most

These bottoms are the most comfortable insulated bottoms I have ever worn. From the first generation poly pro to the very latest Army issue, these are far superior.

Super comfortable!

Super comfortable!

I recently purchase a pair

I recently purchase a pair of the Heavyweight Bottoms for a whitetail hunt in KY. Temps were in the teens every morning, the Heavyweight bibs coupled with the Stratus bibs kept me comfortable all day long. I will be ordering another pair soon.

Best I own....and I own

Best I own....and I own plenty. Fit is good tight but not too tight. Very warm.

Christmas present for the boyfriend

Christmas present for the boyfriend and man does he love it! He is in-between sizes and sized down to the medium and its perfect even with a little extra room to spare. First day out in them it was 15 degrees and he stayed warm for a few hours.

Great base layer for when

Great base layer for when your are moving around a lot, help keep you warm in cold weather without causing you to sweat. Extremely comfortable and form fitting.

I purchased this for ice

I purchased this for ice fishing and hunting seasons. I wore this with 20 degree temps, 25 mph wind, and snow. I was plenty warm. This is the pair you are looking for when the temps dip!

Nothing bad to say about

Nothing bad to say about these, I wear them over my LW leggings when it gets cold and they do a great job at keeping you warm. I also wear them in my sleeping bag when it’s cold out. Keeps some funk out of my bag and adds some warmth to me. I wear 36x34 Levi’s and Sitka L bottom bases fit great.

Its been hitting into the

Its been hitting into the negatives hear in SE Idaho south of Yellowstone. We had an early freeze that's made hunting insanely difficult and insanely frozen. However, I have yet to be cold. I wear these under my gradient pants in the waders and at -5 I could almost pass out in the blind I'm so comfortable! Absolutely wonderful. Wish I could get these in a long sleeve top as a base layer.

I’ve tested these down to

I’ve tested these down to 23 F. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase so far. All Sitka gear I own is 5-stars. This piece is no different.

I love this base layer.

I love this base layer. Highly recommend it

Great product , fit is

Great product , fit is perfect. Great option for southern cold days, will definitely need the merino bottoms for west Tennessee.

Have 3 pairs of these.

Have 3 pairs of these. They’re not only warm but extremely comfortable. They layer great. Sitka hit the mark on these.

Great Product, worth the money.

Great Product, worth the money.

Great base layer. It is

Great base layer. It is a bit snug, but it is supposed to be. They get it done in cold temps. I have used these in mid to late seasons. I have even used the as sleeping pants during camping. They don't ride up or bunch up behind your knees. You get what you pay for and these are well worth it.

Great feel, Good pair of

Great feel, Good pair of thermals, I will pick up another pair.

I feel like I'm wearing

I feel like I'm wearing super hero gear. I've decided I'm exclusively wearing these pants going forward.

I have been wearing long

I have been wearing long johns and leggings like this for years for football basketball and just going out hunting and I am a large and all these so I got my normal size a large and they are huge on me very disappointing but I was able to shrink them to make them fit

These basel ayers are bad

These basel ayers are bad to the bone. They kept me extremely warm this past season with all the crazy cold weather we had. I highly recommend them for extremely cold weather or if you sit for any prolong period of time with not much hiking. I hike mountains and it was a bit to much while hiking even though it was single digits and about a foot of snow on the ground.

Being a Minnesota boy I

Being a Minnesota boy I know the importance of a good base layer. These are really nice. They breath well during walks to the blind and then distribute the sweat, and keep me warm during the long sits. You will not go wrong with these base layer pieces.

Love these!

Love these!

You get what you pay

You get what you pay for!! Folks always talk about the price. If you're a couple times a year guy yeah it’s high. But if you're all season or yr round hunting it saves you time and money. I haven’t had to buy new camo in over 6 years. I bet if I take care of my stuff I bet I’ll never have to buy again. I used to have to buy new stuff every or every other just from how the cheap stuff fades and wears out. It’s simple math. Spend now and not have to spend later possibly ever again. The only time you’ll need to spend more is if you want to add to your collection.

They’re unbelievably comfortable. Sitka is

They’re unbelievably comfortable. Sitka is worth the price. I am Sitka for life.

Sitka Price Stings a little

Sitka Price Stings a little bit but I’m slowly going all in on the whitetail system. In SW PA The weather is unpredictable and I wore these for a few hour sit after work on top of some UA ColdGear and didn’t even need my coveralls to stay warm in low-mid 20s I’ll definitely be adding the heavyweight top and the full Stratus Line for next season since there’s only 2 weeks left in the season here.

I finally broke down and

I finally broke down and went all in on this sitka system, and other than the price, I could not be more happier. The heavy weight bottoms I wore from mid October on as my next to skin layer. Mornings get a little chilly in ne Ohio and they did a surprisingly good job of wicking sweat. Warmer than my merino wools, I'm a freeze baby, and I will buy another pair if I wear these out.
