Not a fan

Not having a zipper for any compartment it allows rain to pour straight into where you are trying to keep your optics dry. I bought these as an upgrade to be able to have my range finder in an easy location but these will only be useful during the dry season. And I live on Vancouver Island….so what is a dry season even?

Optic Harness

Absolutely a necessity. Side pockets are always great for small items and a great spot for a phone when you have guides that need to get a text out to you and you want to make very little movement.

I’m a big guy and this has no problem fitting me. The pouches are easily removed. I have used several badlands Bino harnesses and I like this one from Sitka the best. You can adjust how high you want it to ride. I’m going out archery hunting late season today it is supposed to snow and you can bet this piece of gear will be with me.

This harness was perfect! Each pocket has very quiet openings- as well as being very adjustable in size depending on the amount of layers you’re wearing!

It is well thought out,no zippers for the range finder compartments make it super quite for bow hunters. Plenty of room for calls . The attached lens cleaning cloth nice touch.

Great product, I like the small minimalist strap design, the magnetic hold open feature and the ability to remove the 2 side pouches if needed. Very versatile and lightweight.

Great harness. Although the straps work great and are easy to work with, I wish they were a little thicker and/or wider. Other than that it is awesome.

Bino harness

Awesome product. Extra pouches make a great place to store rangefinder and other gear.

Like the Sitka Bino harness,

Like the Sitka Bino harness, replaced a Badlands model. Works well with my 8x32s and 10x40s. Removed one of the side pouches. Didn’t need the storage and made the unit somewhat bulky. My harness is in open country camo, virtually identical to my EV2 pattern. Also works ok with my other camo patterns. Bought in the Sitka outlet section, good value.

I love how the harness and accessory pouches contour to the body. My previous harness had the accessory pouch attached to the side of the main compartment and was a bit bulky, especially in the saddle. It would get caught on my bridge. No complaints with the mountain optics harness.

Great for its purpose. The tabs to grab could be a little larger. A little hard to grab with a gloved hand and the tabs like to get out of reach.

Great way to carry your binos, rangefinder, calls, whatever you might want to put in there. Comfortable, out of the way, but at your fingertips at the same time.

Simply useful. Excellent bino harness with storage built in.

I couldn't stand paying $40 for a range finder pouch that I would have to buy with most other harnesses since they dont come with it. Then while being indecisive this baby drops into clearance for $63. I bought 3 and gave 2 as gifts. That's about as much as I was going to pay for 1 and a pouch and who knows what other extra I needed. This comes with clips for your binos to ensure they stay attached if they happen to miraculously fall out, which hasn't happened to me because the closure is so dang perfect. But need to pass them to your buddy using trash glass? Unclip and pass them over. The negative for most is that it opens towards you. Sure, would be nice but really it folds and uses magnets to literally stay open when needed. Also has a lens cloth built in to the case. Holds rangefinder and calls or jerky. Straps are kind of thin and small. Only an idiot would complain about them getting tangled, they probably use ratcheting boot laces too. The thinner straps don't cut into my neck and they sit under a pack really well for heading out west and hitting the mountains. Easy to bowhunt with. Shoot, you can't find a more useful tool to simplify and streamline your gear on a hunt. Well made, quiet, and damn useful. They make high quality, advanced gear that's costs, this doesn't. Shoot test drive it and give it away if you don't like it, but I bet you will.

Mountain Optics Harness is just right!

This is my second Mt. Optics Harness. I have one in Sub-Alpine with duplicate setups in each. Binos in the center, rangefinder on the right, calls, windicator, and a snack on the left. Perfectly adjustable. I can run easily while wearing and nothing bounces or ever feels out of place. It's the go-to, on the fly, gear harness for spot and stalk, or run and gun hunting. Just about perfect IMO.

Finally upgraded from the old basic steps to this. Love it! Keeps everything close and the magnetic closures alert are super cool!

Side pockets do not work well

There is a elastic that keeps the lid closed on the small pockets. I can pop off and things can be lost...
