Similar to the lightweight hoodies I purchased, needed new colors for my pants. The material seemed a little different between the subalpine and cover but again both did and served me well.
I previously bought the subalpine but needed new colors to match the environment. These are my favorite to wear for hunting. There seemed to be a difference in sizes between subalpine and cover but they both were great for me. I like to wear things a little loose. Subalpine was 2x while the cover was 3x.
My only reason for the 4 stars is the magnetic closure on the pot call pocket ! When crawling to close the gap the pocket gathers dirt and grass! The magnetic closure fails to remain closed at times which could allow mouth calls, chalk for box calls or friction conditioning paper to drop out. I feel this pocket needs improvement. Great lightweight vest other than this! Great adjustability for size.
I recently bought the Incinerator Aerolite Jacket for some late-season hunting trips in chilly, windy conditions, and it exceeded every expectation. This thing is insanely lightweight—feels like wearing a cloud—but packs serious warmth with its Corelite insulation. I stayed toasty even during a multi-day backcountry hunt in near-freezing temps without overheating when hiking.
The fit is spot-on: trim but not restrictive, with a hood that adjusts perfectly and seals out wind. The fabric is super durable yet quiet, which is crucial for stealth in the field. After a few rugged outings, no signs of wear, and it's held up through rain and brush without a hitch. Pricey? Sure, but worth every penny for the performance.
If you're serious about cold-weather gear, this is your go-to. Highly recommend!
I’m 6’2”, weight 205 pounds and picked up an XL. Jacket is amazing and fits great. Awesome jacket for this easy Montana winter we just had. The coldest I wore it was 5° out and had a long sleeve on under it and I was fine. Great purchase.
Took these out for spring turkey. They were so comfortable and durable, handled the brush no problem. We were in tick country and the built-in gaiters were great for protection and peace of mind.
Pocket layout and design was what I was looking for. Ordered a 32 and it was more like 31 compared to all of the other shorts I own. So I returned. Pants don't come in a 33 so I didn't re order in a larger size.
I absolutely love this hoodie! It's light and warm. I wear it for everything from golf to cruising timber. This hoodie is great for layering under other jackets for additional warmth when needed as well.
These shorts run a little bit small. I wear 32 waist for everything and typically have room, but these shorts are a big snug in the waist. If I get another pair I will try the large. The shorts themselves are great! The zip pockets are great for holding keys on morning runs without worrying about them falling out.
This hoodie has become a staple in my hunting clothes. Love the built in facemask and the hand kits on the sleeves. Purchased a couple of them for my son as well.
Nice boot but if you have even a slightly wider foot than most I would suggest going up a size. . . . especially if you have 4-5mm stockingfoots/booties. Length was fine but they're skinny for a wading boot IMO.
I am actually disappointed in the quality of this vest. It will not release wrinkles, even after fluffing it on cool with a damp washcloth. We are keeping it because it was on sale. My husband has a jetstream vest that is awesome, but this alpha vest is no comparison in fabric or quality.
