Size up

Jacket is great. Very light weight layer. But I ordered my usual size but it is very small. No room to wear over a warmer layer like sweatshirt. Size up 1-2 sizes if using g it as an outer layer.

Dew Point Jacket

Absolutely love the weight of this jacket. Only thing I can complain about would be the zipper is a little stiff when trying to zip it up but beyond that the jacket preforms flawlessly.

Great Jacket, fits awesome.

Hard to tell from a lot of the reviews, but I’m 6’3 and 230lbs and the XL fits great. Originally had the XXL because I was nervous about arm length. Great fit, noisy for sure, but packs super small and I already did a few hour hike in the rain in Alaska and was warm and very dry.

Dewpoint jacket.

This jacket fits true to size. The XL size fits nicely over my other XL jackets. It has kept me dry and is easy to stuff back into my pack when not in use.

Exchange was flawless

Purchased an XL and it was a bit snug so returned it for an XXL. Whole process took less than 10 days and I have it in plenty of time for my Alaskan fishing trip next week. Confident the jacket and matching pants will serve me well.

Nice shell

All around great rain coat. Primarily acts as a shell for wet weather protection with very little insulation.

I’m 6’2 -170 lbs and this rain gear fits awesome. I hated the rain gear that was baggy and got caught on absolutely everything. Sitka’s gear always fits just how it should

Very light and very waterproof.

Very light and very waterproof. It is a minimalist’s dream. It needs the Sitka chest pocket. The fit is a little weird. I am 6’ and 175 with 32 waist. I started with a medium which is usually prefect but the waist hemline was really tight. The rest of the jacket was great. Went with the large and it is a little baggy.

Size is well, but if you want to have thicker base layers like a hoodie or multiple base layers consider one size larger.

I’ll be testing this jacket for the first time this season, but it’s better quality than what I had in the military. It fits well and is surprisingly breathable for a waterproof jacket.

Best rain gear!

Finally replaced my 12 year old Sitka rain coat with a new Sitka Dew Point jacket. The old one is still great and will be handed down to my son. Best rain gear on the market in dryness and longevity.

I originally ordered a large tall but it was tight. After getting an XL tall it’s exactly what I wanted. A light weight, easy to pack rain jacket.

Easy pack ability and nice feel.

My first impression of the jacket was on a hike through the Dolomites. The jacket did not have a stiff or plastic feel and packed very easily.

I love this jacket

I love this jacket. I'm keen on bear and moose hunting and this jacket is very compact and takes up no space in my backpack. I used it for the first time this spring for bear hunting and I really liked it.

Not Silent! But still fantastic

I bought this jacket (and also the pants) as a replacement for my fishing rain gear while also hoping to use in the field. If using solely just for hunting, note that this piece is not whisper quiet but it is significantly more quiet than your average rainwear. This piece works wonderfully for my application of hunting and fishing.

Great fit for bigger guy

Purchased this as an everyday wear for work and to add to my system. I’m a bigger guy at 280lbs of corn fed man and it fits great. Excellent mobility while standing and sitting. Purchased in black and it’s a clean classy look.

Great light weight rain shell

The dew point is a great jacket to keep in your pack for intermittent weather or to use as primary rain gear if weight is a concern. Its light yet not so thin that I’m worried about it. If I knew I was going to be brush busting and the forecast was for regular rain I would wear something a bit more durable but for most of my hunting, outside duck hunting, this is my primary rain jacket. I’m giving it 4 stars because although I think the fit is true to size it feels a little tight in the shoulders and around my arm pits. If I went up a size it would be to large overall.

I am 5’11” and 195

I am 5’11” and 195 lbs. I am a big fan of Primaloft, and this new sherpa-esque insulation is really nice to wear. It has been great for everyday wear, but I recently took it out on a scouting trip to test how it worked under rigorous hiking and cooler weather with a chance of rain. I had a synthetic baselayer and Mountain Evo Jacket for the ascent. The Mountain Jacket performed very well, although I was very surprised at how wet my back was when I removed my backpack and put on the Ambient 100 for when I was glassing. I now had a baselayer, Ambient, Mountain Evo Jacket, and it started raining lightly. I was at a perfect temperature, and the moisture on my back seemed unbothered when the Ambient 100 came in contact with my shirt. The temps dropped, and the layer system did really well as I hiked further up the mountain. I didn’t get too hot or sweaty and felt very comfortable in the low 40s. As we hit 8800 ft, it began to snow, and I put my Dew Point Jacket on. Now, I had a layering system of baselayer, Ambient 100, Mountain Jacket, and Dew Point Jacket. It all fit very well and didn't feel bulky or constrictive. Temps were now wet and cold; low 30s with a bit of wind. Hiking downhill was a win, and I never felt overheated or wet. Final thoughts—Ambient 100, Black (Size Large): I truly love it. I wish the male part of the zipper was a little larger. Sometimes, it is hard to get it engaged. This is a minor issue, but the jacket is supreme. I wonder if there needs to be some sort of stitching on the jacket, as the Riptstop face feels like it is floating away from the Primaloft. It probably enhances breathing. Mountain Evo Jacket, Subalpine, and Deep Lichen (Size Large Tall): The arm lengths are different on both jackets. My subalpine is too long, and a simple sleeve roll-up is a perfect fit. I wish the Deep Lichen color were the same as my Dew Point Jacket. The Mountain Jacket has a bit more yellow, while the Dew Point has more black. The fit is great, the performance on the back is awesome, and the windproof technology was a win for me. This pairs very well with my kit. The hood could have a little more reach, but I have a longer neck, so it didn't fit perfectly, but it was satisfactory for me. Dew Point Jacket, Deep Lichen (Size Large Tall): Amazing jacket. I have had my run-through rain jackets, and this jacket is very nice. I love the color, the performance and the ability to keep me dry. I have tested this in some serious rain and even some snow. One critique is that the zipper at the top by sternum catches on an inner flap, but other than that, this is a stellar piece of gear for my kit. I also love the deep pockets that work well with my backpack.
