Works as advertised

The hoodie actually repels mosquitos as advertised. It is very thin and lightweight. I do question its ability to hold up to a rigorous hunt, however I have only tried it out while camping.

Makes me want more

Great piece of clothing. Runs a bit large but still fits well overall. This is a really thin fabric that allows air to pass right through. Worn on several hot days and everyone around me were fighting off flies. I stayed cool and bug free plus didn't have to lather on the sunblock. I will be getting more of these in the future. I do wish they made a no hood option though.

2nd Guard Purchase for every day

I have an EVII guard and I love it so I purchased a solid to use for everyday use. I highly recommend them being in a muggy, sunny, buggy Florida climate!

Favorite Hot Weather Top

Equinox Guard Hoodie is one of my favorite Sitka pieces and my go to for any warm weather hunts. Its light weight, breathable and remarkably durable. Most importantly the protection it give against the bugs !!

Perfect for hot Florida

The fabric is great for the high temp and humidity in FL. Any thicker and sweating problems would start.

Equinox as a gift

Bought for my son for scouting and early season bow. He has been wearing it fishing and golfing and wears it all off the time. He says it’s comfortable and he believes it keeps the bugs away.

This gear is great I hunt in the south east and the temps are hot with plenty of ticks and mosquitoes. I’ve not one tick and no fight with mosquitoes since I’ve been using the hoodie and pants. I love it

Lightweight Technical Hoodie

I purchased the Equinox Guard Hoodie to be used as the upper garment for hot weather turkey and early season deer archery hunts in the deep south U.S. I had suffered from heavy perspiration and lack of evaporation while using my heavy Tick proof garments during high humidity and temperature during late April 2024. I may purchase the Equinox Guard trousers before next season.

For starters, as a big guy, I was amazed at how well this fit! This is the perfect spring turkey top. Breathable, light, insect repellent, built in face mask … it has it all !

This top is great. It will keep u cool as possible. With the heat and humidity we have here in NC this equinox Guard hoodie is must with our early bow season. Great job sitka

Equinox Hoodie Optifade Timber

Must have for warm weather hunting. It isn't going to provide 100% against mosquitoes an flying insects. But, I ordered mine 1 size larger an I have been matted in mosquitoes without the need to swat. I did have a nice pair of transition shades an the Traverse Gloves if I'm gun hunting or the Equinox Gloves if I'm bow hunting. Must have pieces.

I got this shirt for hanging out around fires and working out side when the bugs are bad. It’s living up to its expectation. No more bites. Very light and comfortable sun protection. One of the most comfortable shirts I have in high heat. I’m probably gonna get another in camo for turkey hunting.

Equinox Guard Hoodie XL

Good quality piece, great for early season deer or turkey. It does fit very long. Knowing what I know now I would’ve gotten a L instead of an XL.

I own 6 of these! It’s a must have for hot weather hunting in the Deep South!

I hunt year round in middle Georgia. I own 6 of the equinox guard hoodies with equinox guard pants in 3 different camo patterns. These are a must have for areas thick with mosquitos and ticks. I have never had a tick or excessive bug bites after 3 seasons of use thanks to the treatment on the material. I wear a 46R jacket and am somewhat fit, but I do not recommend ordering an extra large for two reasons: 1) the material is very elastic, and 2) the hoodie and mask on the XL is too baggy for keeping the mask against your face. It is pretty worthless if the top of the mask simply says around your chin. It breathes reasonably well but again I’m hunting the swampy areas of middle Georgia. You cannot go wrong with this hoodie.

Loose fit, repels skeeters

Wore it up north Minnesota for a week, kept the skeeters off while on the lake. Loose enough fit to put over a heavier sweatshirt for cool nights. Skeeters land on it, but don't bite. Very pleased. Coupled with the pants, this is a great set. I'm 6'3 and 230#.

Keeps the bugs away

I have 4 guard hoodies and wear them all summer long to keep mosquitoes and biting flys from biting me. An added bonus is the sun protection they provide. Very happy with it.

Love the Hoodie but one small problem

Grandson loves it but one question as I was taking out of washing machine I notice it is sewn wrong on the arm hole. It was caught wrong by the sewing machine but I didn’t know since i have washed it if i could return it. Thanks for any help. I will say it again grandson loves it!!!
