Very Warm! Definitely a mid layer but runs well with stratus vest and merino base layer. I would say it’s warmer than the fanatic hoody as well. Great addition to any system.

Sitka really helped with my lost order

I had a package that was taken off my porch, it took a while, around 2 weeks to get the investigation settled through UPS. Luckily Sitka sent a replacement, the quality is really good, I got to use the gear once

Exceeds expectations

When I first looked in to Sitka, The price tags was concerning. I found my self wondering why on earth someone would pay that much for camo. When I unboxed it (even though knowing that it’s a layering system) I thought the material was thin, and was concerned about its durability. I went on a Colorado Elk hunt this past week, and absolutely abused this gear, put it through its paces, and I have to say, I have never been more impressed. The average temp this week has been around the 20° mark, while being colder in the mornings, with up to a foot of snow in some of the draws. Never once did I stop and think that I was freezing, or was I conceded that I was going to rip this gear on a tree branch, or I was going to split a seam while crouching. All and all the Sitka system has impressed me, and exceeded any expectations I could have set for it. 10/10 recommended.

I now own 2 heavyweight hoodies. Great mid layer for when temps are below freezing. Very soft and very warm. I only gave 4 stars because size up for shrinkage.

Very warm for how light it is

A great piece for all around use. Great fit fit.

Hood needs addressed

Just spent 10 days straight in this piece. The hood design is a major disappointment. Fully zipped with a hat you can barely see out, zipped down to the chin and the zipper corners are right in your eyes. Would recommend Core 330 hoodie over this, or please bring back the fanatic in subalpine. Material and fit is good.

Amazing hoodie, comfortable and warm. Size wise I'm in-between a L -XL so I ordered the xl first but returned it for the L and fits perfect.
