He loves it!

Bought as a Christmas present for my husband to go under his Fanatic jacket. Couldn't wait for Christmas when our temps fell below 0. He wears it every day now. He's a big man 6'6" and 320 #. Fits great. Makes getting arms into jacket easily. He wishes his Fanatic came in 4x or tall. But it keeps him warm for late season bowhunting. Especially with the new hoodie.

I ordered XL to layer

I ordered XL to layer underneath. Wore it in stand on moderately cold day without base layer under incinerator jacket and stayed comfortable.

Fit issues - runs large

Overall I think this is a better piece and warmer than the 330 merino, however the hoodie is worse than the 330 merino. Also - this runs way too big. Bought a large and had to return for a medium.

What a fantastic hoodie to have for all-around use.

Thin and WARM!

I am extremely impressed with how warm this is for how lightweight and thin it is. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm base layer.

I purchased this heavyweight hoodie for a cold December Arizona elk hunt. The hoodie was my 2nd of 4 layers and kept me warm in 20 degree weather. I highly recommend this product

Great product, title a little off

I really expected a little more weight out of the HEAVYWEIGHT hoodie. I did see that it was only 2/3 out of 5 on heat so it’s not like I was mislead. I love the product, it’s very wind resistant, not quite wind proof. For really cold hunts, freezing and below, you will want something heavier. But for anything warmer than that this product is great. It’s well built with the finger loops for gloves and the zip up neck gaiter. Great product.

Purchase this to use mostly for late season pheasant hunting. Just got back from hunting in Sub-Zero wind chills. Wire a ascent light and jetstream. Moved sweat really well very warm

Excellent Product

The Heavyweight Hoodie is near the top of my list for go to products. I wore this shirt during Colorado late elk season spot and stalk. The Heavyweight Hoodie was my outer layer when on the move and provided great protection from the wind and the large zipper could allow you to dump heat when it became necessary. If the Heavyweight Hoodie and Fanatic Hoodie could be combined then there would be no need for other shirts.

Got this item for use in early season deer hunting. Can sit in the blind with the solid color and blend into the background. When it gets colder pull out the jacket. It is perfect, fits great, allows mobility and keeps me warm.

I was thinking about the Merino 330 hoodie because the hood on this one is super tight. Zipped up, just above my eyebrows is exposed down to my top lip. But I ended up going with this one, and I’m so glad I did! I drove miles on my ATV while hunting, and this hoodie is perfect because it leaves just a tiny opening, barely bigger than my goggles. I also love base layers that have thumb loops, like this one, to keep my sleeves in place while I add or remove layers. It’s lightweight enough that I can wear it while hiking, and it breathes well. Keeps me warm and has a good balance between weight and warmth. Highly recommend this hoodie!
