A really nice jacket

I bought this jacket for early season bow hunting. It is not insulated but has Gortex Windstopper. It sheds light rain, which is the most I'll hunt in. The microfleece on the inside and outside is very comfortable and quite. The hood is detachable and there is a pass-through for a safety harness. The zip pockets are all in the right places. This should be worn with a core lightweight T, and as it starts getting colder, a Fanatic hoodie and a Traverse jacket. I switch to the Incinerator coat once it gets cold here in Central Illinois.

Great Whitetail and Big game Archery Jacket, extremely warm and has a zipper that doesn’t allow you to get tangled up with your compound bow.

Highest Quality

Great jacket. Size XL works perfect for layering underneath or wearing alone. Was looking for a windproof jacket for outer layer to build an all season system around. Purchased and sent back two jackets from other manufacturers; I liked the camo patterns better but the fabric was too noisy. Stratus jacket is quieter but still a little louder than I would like for hunting pressured deer from the ground but maybe that’s typical of windproof jackets. Ended up really liking the subalpine pattern, past twenty feet it disappears in most environments including the tan grass and brown hardwood leaves I hunt from. Seems like the marsh pattern would be the best pattern for hunting deer.

Bought this jacket for the versatility. I bought a size up so I could layer underneath. Very happy with the purchase. Lightweight, warm and quiet. I will say the zippers are a bit noisy compared to some of my other jackets. Tree bark tends to cling to the fabric especially on the inside. I hang my jacket on the tree when not needed and some got on the inside of the jacket and was difficult to remove. Love the pockets and pass through for harness. Overall still a 5.

Extremely comfortable. Quiet! I’ve had the same Columbia hunting gear for over 20 years. My family bought me this jacket and the bibs that match. Most comfortable and the best hunting gear I’ve ever owned.

The pattern in this is unlike any other camouflage I own. The pockets are precisely located and the hood with its hearing inserts is a winner. The fit runs small. At this price point, Sitka should consider building its coats in sizes, 42, 44, 46, etc.

got this for iowa deer season and a trip to colorado. used during snow and zero degrees and worked flawlessly. layering is the key to being comfortable.

Love this jacket. Feels good and is warm when layered. If you have broad shoulders, I would size up. This is the only Sitka gear that I have had to size up.

Stratus jacket must have whitetail hunting

Stratus is my favorite piece of many by Sitka so soft and warm with windstopper when the wind rips out of the north west. I have my whole family wearing them!

Quiet and wind proof, comfortable. Plenty room for layers 5’6” 170 and I have a size large. I expected it to be a little thicker I feel the stratus pants have more fleece. Good jacket but you will need to layer when the temps drop.

Outstanding Quality Equipment…

Bought my jacket over 10 years ago. The outfit was awesome for moose hunting, late season white tails, Colorado elk. I broke the zipper this fall and called re warranty repair of the zipper. They replaced the whole jacket with a new Stratus jacket. Out standing..

Game Changer

I bought the Stratus jacket, bibs and midi paints, and they are a game changer for me. With weather appropriate layering in have sat for several hours in the upper teens this season. Am I tasty warm, no, but I can manage and still function with my bow or rifle. The midi paints run a little large in my opinion but are still very warm.
