one of my favorite items from Sitka

Newer Style than last Downpour I had

So had the original Downpour in the elevated camo that had more of the brushed finished than this version. I am sure this one will be just as waterproof as the last one. Only thing I noticed right off the bat is that this one may end up being slightly louder in the treestand than the original one. The sizes do run slightly bigger to allow for other layers underneath.

Waited so long

for the XLs to be in-stock, grabbed five pair right away. Very thin, and a bit tight on my 9-wide feet for supposed to be XL. I have both length of the mids and heavys and they aren't as tight as these are.

Adding to

As a southeast / midwest hunter, I can't wear the same boxers on Sunday that I did on Saturday, so I am adding to what I already own for multi-day hunts. These fit me nicely and are comfortable.

Bring back the old model!

Brown knee and butt areas seem like they will tear easily compared to the older style! Plus it doesn’t have the good ol’ chest pockets! Bring back the old style

I have always been one to hype up Sitka’s gear and surely thought I would like the shoes they made, but let me tell you something, these shoes are sick. As soon as I put them on, I was in love. These shoes are lightweight but have the ankle support of a lace-up boot. I haven't broken them in yet, but I did wear them for a shift in the Emergency Room, and even there they outperformed other shoes I have worn. I will definitely buy another pair; I hope they might add some camo or everyday colors

I tried a friend’s Sitka Fanatic during late season last year and was happy with how it performed. I’m looking forward to see how these Stratus bibs perform day to day/hunt to hunt. I normally wear medium shirts and 32x32 pants but knew to order a large bib and jacket and the fit is perfect with base layers.

Neck Gaiter

Very comfortable. I'd like a little stretch to the fabric. It's a tad tight if you want to pull it up over your face, or over a cap. But, for just around the neck, perfect!

Great shirt and base layer

I have purchased these is most of the colors available. I love them, and they are durable enough for a season or two depending on how hard you are on your gear. They are light weight and don’t retain body odors even after multiple days wearing the same piece.

Stellar Rain Pants

I use these when I am busting brush in AK. Dry or wet weather these pants are tough, stand up to devils club and tree branches, and keep me exceptionally dry. In extended hunts I bring these rain pants and another pair of Sitka pants and that is is. They are light weight, ultra packable and maintain their water repellant characteristics after laundering with appropriate detergent. I am on my second pair, but that is because I wanted a solid color to go with the Subalpine pair I still have. This is a must buy.

Sitka pursuit pant review

After buying a pair of Sitka timberline pants i knew Sitka was in a league of their own, I wanted a pair of Sitka early season pants but was unsure what to buy. This summer when Sitka rolled out the new pursuit pants I had to have them, and man did they deliver another 5 star pair of pants to my hunting arsenal, if you are looking for a early season pair of hunting pants you can’t go wrong with the pursuit

A Bit Narrow

Incredible shoe! I was extremely excited for these trail runners. Perfect blend of high quality materials while still being lightweight. Unfortunately, they fit just a bit too narrow for me, so I’ll have to return. I usually don’t need a wide size, but guess I would need one with these. Won’t fault the shoe…. likely just my fat feet.

Best Hoodie ever!

I started with an XL, but the sleeves weren't quite long enough for my long arms. Returned it, and they sent me an XLT. . . PERFECT! This is my go-to hoodie all fall and winter long and easily my favorite hoodie/jacket. The ambient purpose for active temperature regulation works to perfection!! So when you're walking around, moving, ets the pores open so you don't sweat. Then when you stop moving, it closes up and keep you nice and warm!

Only a Sitka Fanny pack for this guy

Fanny packs are a phase of yester year and never would I be caught in one until Sitka released it! Perfect size for a few essentials for a morning or evening hunt , not bulky and lightweight and blends in perfect with the rest of the gear!

Great Bib, maybe want to change one feature.

Excellent bib. Slopped a nice 80pound tuna on it for photos & got hosed off with all the blood washing right off. 80 degree day so both sides of zippers were fully open and it was cool enough. I'm 6'2 about 32 waist so fit relatively well on the large size. ONE feature I'd like to change on this is the chest pocket magnet close instead of zipper close. Change it to waterproof zipper liner instead b/c the magnet is just too sketchy to put my phone / items in. The pocket opened up several times & when I looked at it my phone was half falling off. I put my casting gloves in there and they too, had the pocket open. It's not a reliable chest pocket IMO. Waves were only 3 foot or less so not much rocking, but on harsher day, i'd imagine items would be easily falling out of the chest pocket.
